A love of books, as well as my foray into quilting. Also enjoy cross stitch, knitting and crochet.
I have used a mixture of everything here - background is from a magazine, as is the orange paint pot.
Another card that didn't lend itself to what I had in my supplies, then had a rethink and came up with this.
How to embellish this card had me stumped for a while, and these small images fit in well with the colours of the background.
Background paper for this card is from a decorating magazine.
Once again I have used as the background - part of an old greeting card.
I have had a set of Japanese postcards for some years and a great of incorporating them into art.
Rosina was previously married to a George Watson in Cardiff Wales, but discovered that he was already married. She migrated to Australia, I believe around 1910, and my grandfather, George Watson was born in Sydney in 1911.
The photo was taken at my mother's wedding in 1952.
The photo is of David Henry Smith and his wife, Rosina Gargaro, Doris Dutton and her husband George Watson.
Once again, I have recycled an envelope, but this time, the inside.
Lots of variations in designs once you start saving your envelopes.
Decided to recycle an envelope as the background for this card.
Have had this postcard for a while, and didn't know how to collage it. But the images that I have added come together well.
The background for this postcard is an old greeting card.
The background paper for this card is from a serviette.
Cats are a favourite theme that seems to run through peoples cards, mainly because most of them have these cute animals, including me.
I had made the background for this postcard sometime ago, and just couldn't get the right images/embellishments to finish it off.
Think that these have worked.
